Nico Uys started in Germany at Varsity Stellenbosch, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry. He then worked for ten years in the automotive industry, followed by a year handling finishing and quality assurance on a 133-foot superyacht in Cape Town for an American owner. Nico eventually interviewed with Bayer and became an independent agent for them, which has since become one of his largest clients for organic products.

He is looking to solidify his business and find a buyer for the other company, as they lack a legacy plan and the research director has no follow-up plan. Nico is eager to be part of soil health improvement and soil regeneration.
