Danny Greene

Danny Greene is from Franklin, Indiana, where he owns and operates Greene Crop Consulting, Inc. He has been with the Network for 15 years, specializing in corn, soybeans, wheat, hay, and pasture.

Danny grew up on a small livestock and grain farm near Linton, Indiana. He worked at Peabody Coal Company in mine reclamation/revegetation while in college and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Purdue University. From 1985 to 1998, he worked for Purdue as a Research Agronomist.


In 2006, Danny started Greene Crop Consulting, where the main focus is soil fertility and production for corn, soybeans, wheat, specialty crops, and various projects. The company provides risk management to its customers through Crop Insurance products. In 2021, they launched "Pay Dirt," a data management system to help farmers manage their production and profitability data layers. The business now serves south-central Indiana through its seven full-time employees and three part-time employees.


Danny and his wife, Amy, have been married since 2007. They have four children, including two adopted, and a grandson, along with a few in-laws. Beyond his work, Danny enjoys family time, camping, gardening, and bluegrass music.
