Danny Greene

I am from Franklin, Indiana where I own and operate Greene Crop Consulting, Inc. I have been with the Network for 15 years now where I have found my corn, soybean, wheat, hay, and pasture.

I grew up on a small livestock and grain farm near Linton, In. Worked at Peabody Coal Company in mine reclamation/revegetation while in college. Received by bachelors and master’s degree from Purdue University. I worked for Purdue as a Research Agronomist from 1985-1998.

In 2006 I started Greene Crop Consulting where our main focus is soil fertility and production for corn, soybean, wheat, specialty crops, and various projects. We provide risk management to our customers through Crop Insurance products. In 2021, we launched “Pay Dirt”, a data management system to help farmers manage their production and profitability data layers. Our business now serves south-central Indiana through our 7 full-time employees and 3 part-time employees.

My wife Amy and I have been married since 2007. I brought two kids into the marriage and we adopted two more. We now have added a few in-laws, but more importantly, a grandson!

Beyond my work, I enjoy family, camping, gardening, and bluegrass music.
