Green House Media

Brookside Laboratories provide complete testing for greenhouse growers. This testing includes media, water, fertigation inputs, and plants. Green house media (mixtures of: peat, perlite, vermiculite, composted materials, bark, fertilizer, and similar materials) is tested differently than regular soil testing. Media samples should be tested as they come from the consultants who sampled them. Media samples are not dried and ground nor sieved before testing like standard soil samples are. Testing media as is (per official method) provides clients accurate results needed to properly feed and grow health plants. Brookside performs the standard water saturated media extract method (S003) for pH, salt, available N03+NH4, Ca, Mg, P, K, Na, S, B, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, Al, and Mo.

Brookside also performs the modified (DTPA) saturated media method (S003A) also.
